Bird Game 3

A new game has recently taken the internet by storm, and quite unexpectedly so. Bird Game 3, the extraction shooter developed by Team Feather has in its 3 weeks since launch already had over 10 million downloads.

The game itself isn’t that serious, but the people who play it take it VERY MUCH SO. The gameplay loop is simple: select your favorite bird from a menagerie of over 120 different species, each with their own special attacks and abilities, and compete in the skies with goofy yet surprisingly fluid aerial combat. Each player also has a nest that they must defend, and eggs within their nest that must be protected. A round of Bird Game 3 is won when the last player (bird) survives.

My personal favorite bird to play is the Shoehead Stork. It has very good health, can fly pretty quickly, and deals good damage to rival birds. Its ultimate power, however, is the true selling point. With a relatively short cooldown period, the Shoehead can unleash a powerful laser beam that deals devastating damage to any bird caught in its path. Also to mention, the Shoehead stork looks very cool, and is a truly interesting bird in real life.

Ethan and I play it together quite often, staying up late into the night to upgrade our nests. He prefers to main Mockingbird, which is a stealth-based assassin bird.

Bird Game 3 may just be a silly video game about birds fighting, but it is very fun to play and the collective fanbase has many jokes about it that have created a very comedic community. I can’t wait to get back to the skies and plunder some rivals’ nests!
